Project Volunteer....

So, Today I started my volunteer work at a hospital. I am volunteering in a radiology department. It is required for school, before I can apply for clinicals. I am SO excited.

I really got to do alot today. Obviously I didn't do what the Rad. Techs do... like everything, but they talked things out for me, and let me move the machines. I got to help transport patients, and all sorts of cool things. I really felt in my place. I know it is a ways off, but I can't wait to finish school and be able to do this for a living.

I can't really disclose what all I saw today... but I saw some cool things. Mostly chest x-rays. I didn't see anything extreme. I am working in the radiology dept, in the ER! Sounds exciting right? Its pretty low key. Lol. But I am loving it. I know this is what I am meant to do... I know it. I was kind of hesitant on how I would react to broken, and protruding bones. I haven't seen that just yet, but I did see some stuff. I think I will take it just fine.

I saw plenty clavicles. None broken... well, just yet. I am ubber excited, and I only hope that my future, and fellow radiology technicians I work with are like the guys I am volunteering with. They are great. These 50 hours are going to fly by. It is exhausting... I have to get back to the gym. But I think with a little more gym action, and muscle pumping, I should be able to move things better, and this and that.

I have found my place. Feels great to say. I knew along this is what I am supposed to be doing... but it feels great to experience it. :)

Here's to 2009.....

To a great year, to amazing things for school, and to the excitement of radiology!!! YEAH dude. ;) I'm a happy girl.
