73 days til Christmas....

But hey, who's counting? :)

It's not that I am really excited about Christmas, Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday anyways. BUT, Melissa and Steven are coming back home for a good visit. I can't wait. That's one thing that is keeping my spirits up lately. I can't wait to see my friend again, and her crazy husband. The official date they come in is December 23, well last I heard.

we are beauties, we know....

Wondering about the moving deal? No luck for me. I have called numerous places, and no where will take my boy. It will work out, I keep telling myself that. God has never left me high and dry. Something always works out. But I have 18 days. That's all I am saying about that. I need a cute 1 bedroom place, for a single person. Nothing more, nothing less.

Ok, on to something that's not stressing me out. I saw Tabitha and Josh and their beautiful family Friday night. It was very awesome. I miss them like crazy. They are great people.

My mom gave me a pretty present from her trip to Branson, MO. It made me really smile. She got me a coffee mug that has waterfowl all on it, and a removeable lid. HOW cool right? It's an actual stainless steel mug, and it has a pop top coffee lid. COOLEST thing I have ever seen. And she got me the most precious long sleeve shirt that is a beautiful maroon color, and it has autumn leaves on the front, with some pretty glitter. It says Silver Dollar City, Branson, MO. They are making another trip around Christmas. Hopefully I can make it that trip.

Awesome lid for a MUG!

Ok, I just love this mug...

OH, and get this, I heard a really scary and rumbling noise this morning. (Hence, why I am up so early typing a blog.) I slowly slipped out of bed, and looked under my bed. And get this... I found this.... Not for the faint of heart. This is scary.

Yeah, so the lab pup still sleeps under the bed. Doesn't he look squished? He is 34 pounds, and STILL gets under the bed. Poor baby, he don't even sleep on his nice Bass pro bed anymore. Its big enough for him. I just don't get it.

I'm not even going to mention the LSU-Gators game last night. All I have to say is Mikey's Appopriate comment of
"LSU 21 GATORS 51. Sorry! :-) "
It did make me giggle. I know, I know... i'm an LSU fan no lie. But I also think the Comment Ricky Jean made earlier this week about Tebow wasn't called for at all. That's that.

Maybe I might set out and take some pics, and search for a place to live again today. I'm thinking the LSU lakes and Doggie park sound good.

Ha, here you go....

Ok, So my life has been pretty eventful lately.

I just realized the other day that I have until the end of the month to find a new home. Where I thought it was the mid part of November! HELP! Not knowing where you are going to live is stressful, and enough to make any girl wanna crawl in a deep dark hole, and cry! Yeah... me... cry?! Well, I did just that today. I have many stresses in my life here lately.

Ugh, anyway... I have a horribly big AP II test tomorrow. It's on the Somatic & Special Senses, and then the Endocrine System. Am I ready for it? Not in the least. I love how this wonderful 'teacher' I have is so great at teaching! I mean, for the amount I pay for a credit hour, and for her class alone I mean, I think it is completely fair for me to have to teach this stuff to myself. Right? Yeah, not so right, nor fair. If I don't do too hott on this test, I will be saying something. I honestly don't see how she is a 'teacher!'

So, my mom is getting home from the nice Branson, MO tonight. I am slightly upset about that too. I missed out on that opportunity because they were going to be coming home late tomorrow night. AFTER my test. I so needed a get away. Even for a few days. From what I hear, the weather is nice up there in the ole' MO. :::SIGH:::

I took Boudreaux to the Vet this weekend. He is a whooping 33.3 lbs. And he is only 4 months and 3 weeks! He is getting big each day. The vet. diagnosed him with a "Over-Bite." Only my dog. I think I may start to call him Boudreaux 'Billy Bob' Sibley. :) This morning he did his usual waking me up ritual. I looked from under the cover to see his protruding top gums over the smaller, and more pushed back lower jaw. I couldn't help but laugh at my boy. He's the typical redneck dog. I must say, I got some compliments on my boy this weekend. He went to the vet, Octoberfest in the Antique Village, and to the LSU Lakes. I love stopping and talking 'lab talk' with other lab owners. It makes my day, and always makes me smile. Shoot... my dog is my heart throb!

Speaking of which, the DU banquet is this Thursday. I was really pepped up about it about a month ago. But with Lifes obsticles here lately, I could honestly care less. I haven't been to a meeting in weeks, and I still haven't sold any tickets. All the Duck Hunters I know aren't going, are out of town on business, or just aren't interested in it this year. It sucks. I was working on selling a table, but obviously my table selling skills aren't up to par. Oh well... that's why I am going to school for radiology, and not business. Not my partay. Or however you spell it. Give me a break, my brain is mush from all this studying of special senses, and endocrine talk. Ask me how to spell a term that deals with that. Come on, I dare ya.

Father of the Bride... Part II.

Fun enough title right? Well, I am updating my bl;og while watching. Yay for a good laugh to the end of a good weekend! Have I mentioned how much I really love Autumn?

One thing said... I LOVE Autumn! Yay for cloudless days, and cool crisp breezes. Yay for mulled cider smelling candles. Yay for the smell of fire and smoke. Yay for Autumn! I could go on!

Ok, so I decided to take my boy Boudreaux to the LSU lakes for a round. I only took him on the 2 mile one. Mike assured me he should be fine, and told me some good tips for making this new adventure more enjoyable for the both of us. Well, I can Boudreaux enjoyed it more than I did. I love the LSU lakes, but having an almost 5 month old Lab pup that needs to be fully trained on how to act at the lakes didn't make it as much fun as what it normally is for me!

Now, I have my tips I had heard from Mike, and then some things I learned today. Boudreaux is going to be fixed ASAP! He is kind of aggressive, and I know he needs that anyway. I just can't wait until he is fully ready to take on the Lakes like I normally do.

This weekend has been eventful to say the least. It has been fun though. Scotties Paw-Paw passed away today, unfortunately. My heart goes out to him. He was going to go visit him next weekend. And unfortunately he passed before Scottie could make it up there. :(

What else can I say? Oh, I so saw a Common Redeye duck today! He was an absolute beauty! Gosh... I just wish I could of seen some pintails too out there!

I'm going to make this blog super short... I have some yummy food in the making! Yeah, for foreign dishes that I haven't tried!

Fall time!

Wow, what can I say? I have somewhat neglected this blog this week.

The official start of Autumn was Monday. This Autumn has gotten off to the *Perfect* start. I love this time of year. It's like Mother Nature just puts on her best, and most wonderful show. I sit at work, and just look out the door when I get the time. Everyday this week has just been absolutely beautiful! I love it. There hasn't been a cloud in the sky almost everyday this week. It seems like my little journey to Subway isn't long enough. I walk to Subway everyday for lunch. I just wanna go have a picnic. Lol. Anyway, one night this week I had dinner with a friend. We came out of the restuarant and both looked at each other and laughed. We had just been talking about the chill that comes at night with Autumn, and the smell of freshly burning wood, or campfire. That's exactly what we smelled.

My mom is going to Missouri this coming weekend. She invited me, and I want to go so bad. They just invited me. They are going up there and Mrs. Linda's daughter is doing a race thing in honor of Hannah. It's helping do research for Cancer. I really want to go. It was so heartbreaking when she passed. Its going to be starting at the Bass Pro in Springfield, Mo. I wanna go up there fore a couple reasons.... the leaves are changing, and i just want to get away for a little while.

Boudreaux is getting bigger each day. Its crazy. I might take him to the LSU lakes sometime this weekend. Right now, I have been gross feeling all day. I have been sick, my tummy has been hurting. Yuck. Anyway, off to bed. Until next time.

Here Erica... a big dose of LIFE

I'm not going to start this blog off with my 'stresses'. I guess I will end it that way or incorporate it in here somehow. I just know its not good to start stuff off badly. So...

This week has flown by. I took my first AP II test. It was on the nervous system. I don't think I did my best on it. But I sure as hell tried. I get credit for that right? I'm going to list some things this week that have made me smile:

-getting a new pair of dark denim jeans

-did I mention these jeans were a size *Smaller* than what I used to wear?!

-lighting my mulled cider candle on these chilly fall days

-driving to work and grabbing the attention of two fellas without even trying (Boosts the ego, majorly)

-talking to a friend I haven't talked to in a while

-going to the gym and finally finding the machine that works the inner/outer thighs

-discovering the newest scent from Bath and Body Works... Black Amethyst

Ok, on to my week. I am now on the 'oh my goodness, I think I might be homeless again frenzy!' Yeah. Its not the best feeling in the world. I know one thing... I LOVE it here at the new place. I really do. I'm actually listening to 'Max' with his high pitched bark right now. He is a Snauzer. He is something else. Anyway, my rents have had a lot of family stuff going on. Passing of Mig's mom... and all sorts of stuff. He has to go back to Atlanta and rescue his brother. Their family is going through so much right now. I really feel for them. I don't know what to do, or even where to start. I am just praying it all works out for ALL of us. It's going to be a big transition for all of us. I'm not looking forward to it at all. I have loved my life so much these past couple of months. I really have. I have felt 'complete' I guess. I love the pond, the ducks, the kids, the atmosphere... the memories. I just don't want to leave. I'm praying, and I'm praying hard for all of us. I want us all to be comfortable wherever our lives lead us. It's hard.

On to something else sad.... I really sat down and flipped through the pictures of the aftermath of Hurricane Ike. I really feel for those poor people. I mean, I was scared with the winds we got last week. But is is a mess over there in Galveston. Those people have it rough. I really don't want to hear about Katrina for a while. I know a lot of people in LA lost a lot of stuff, but I mean seriously, Texas took a big hit with that storm. All of us here in La were hoping it would go elsewhere, but really felt for the people who got hit by it. It was a monster storm, really.

What else is there? Hmm.... Much luck and prayers for all of them. I know its going to take a lot of time, and patience to get those areas affected back to somewhat of a normal life.

Have I mentioned how much I love this time of the year? I really do. It makes me think back when my mom was married, and we lived on the farm.

Weekend frenzy....

Isn't the weekend supposed to be time for a 'break'? Well, this one hasn't really been that great of a break.

I have been trying* to study for this big AP II test that I have Tuesday night. I can say, this class will be a struggle for me. The test is on the Nervous system. I just think the nervous system is difficult. Anyway, I haven't really gotten anywhere. Carlie has the textbook that's required for the class. I think I might pick that up tomorrow. I am just going to really study the chapters in depth. Mentioning my teacher is one of those that is "All of the place." She really is. It's crazy, and it drives me insane. My life here lately has been talk of school, and the new dog... Boudreaux. And yes, his fetish with the loudly decorated, squeaky shoe is still strong. Maybe a little stronger.

This weekend started off early... I got to leave work eary due to the really strong winds we were getting from Hurricane Ike. I really feel for Texas... they got hit really hard. I watched Jessica & James dog... actually its James dog. Anyway, she had to go to her Dad's funeral. She has had a bad past 2 weeks. I brought the dog back over there.... went to Bass Pro, dropped off the posters for the Ducks Unlimited banquet. We are trying to get the word out about it. They had to have it approved before I could post them. Boudreaux loves going there. I got him a Remington 'dummy' floating bouyant. I am going to try to teach him to retrieve it from the water when I get a little more time on my hands.

I can't wait for Tuesday to come and go... I just want to get this test behind me. I love fall... I got me a prolly 6 foot scarecrow from wal-mart yesterday. I was going to make a little fall scene on the balcony... but they didnt have any mums!!!!!!!!! How am I supposed to do this if there are no mums? I mean seriously. Anyway, I can't wait for Fall to be in full swing. :)
